Farmacija is a privately owned company with the business tradition of 50 years.
It was founded by the Act of former People's Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 4th November, 1963 under name of Velefarmacija.
Farmacija entered transitional period of privatization, completed in 1999 after a series of organizational transformations, induced by the law and real need for growth and development. Today, Farmacija operates as a private cooperation under the name of Farmacija d.o.o Tuzla.

Registered activity of Farmacija is a production and trade of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. Last decade of company development is characterized with a shift from trade wholesale business to production of original products. Farmacija is a first company in Bosnia and Herzegovina which invest actively in an investigation and development of new drugs. Original solutions are exclusively protected with production license and patent protection.

Farmacija is building capabilities in original research targeting patentable peptide based active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).

Farmacija's innovative drugs are developed for specialized markets with immediate focus on autoimmune neurodegenerative diseases.
